We can’t say enough about GBF Community Services. Under the leadership of their exceptional CEO, Stacy Elia, and a magnificent volunteer board of directors, for the first time in its history, in 2019, GBF directly invested $1 million in local community programs and strategic partnerships. This represents not only a significant milestone for their organization but for the community as a whole.

The cornerstone of client services at GBF is the provision of healthy nutritional choices. They offer clients the opportunity to shop in a grocery store-like atmosphere using a points system. Clients choose from non-perishable goods, household cleaning products, personal hygiene products, fresh bread, milk and produce, as well as a selection of meat and frozen prepared meals. Thanks to donors including the Winona Men’s Club, GBF plays a necessary and significant leadership role addressing food insecurity in our community.

2019 was a year of transformation for the services provided by GBF and we could not be more proud of the results they achieved. We know GBF is moving from strength to strength, increasing local impact and creating a sustainable organization which will benefit future generations.
